Shrek 1 came out LONG LONG & LONG time ago
but I say animated movies NEVER get old !!
(screen qualities might change but there's upgraded ones available for older ones you know lol - ex. snow white, cinderella.. etc)
I absolutely LOVE all the classical animated films - Disney is my favourite and DREAMWORK.. oh man. they are pretty good too =D
OK - enough Bumbles! - lets talk about MOVIE SHREK!!
our GOOD OL'Shrek 1 - came out in 2001
Shrek is a green ogre who lives in a swamp - alone. But one day, his swamp gets packed by fairy tale characters - all refugees shunned by the EVIL Lord Farquaad - the shorty.
He decides to go on a travel to discuss this 'issue' with him with our talkative donkey -_-.. (poor Shrek T_T) After entering a competition by accident, the shorty offers Shrek his swamp - back in its original, peaceful condition - if he comes back alive with Princess Fiona. (He thought that he would be a king if he marries a princess and picked PF, #3 bacheorette)
By rescuing Princess Fiona successfully, he heads back to Duloc and falls DEEPLY in love with Princess Fiona.. BUT since "pretty and ugly" don't go together - and since he is an ogre and she's a princess, he decides to give up - BUT with Donkey's encouragement, he decides to confess - but ends up hearing the quote I used before (-_-;;) from Fiona ..
Getting hurt DEEPLY, he angrily parts with the princess and after having a 'Little' talk, he goes to Duloc with Donkey and Donkey's lover, the dragon, to rescue his princess once more =)
and they lived Happily EVER After

What are my thoughts? - I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
all the fairy tale characters that pop up now and then in the movie is just too good to miss, the storyline is good and its animated -_- ..
what else can I ask for?
Oh .. um I thought ogres are too ugly.. etc
.... BUT they are ogres - so i passed on that one .. and um.. I .. OK
I really do not like the voices -_-
but w/e =)
IT's a GOOD movie to watch when you need abit of romance in your life =)
