everyone (ok almost 99.99% lol) was happy/impressed with the end result of the dreamworks' computer-animation skill and wanted to find out what will happen to Donkey and Dragon couple + Shrek and Fiona couple. Dreamworks took 3 LONG years to come up with a sequal, the Shrek 2.
Shrek 2 was a continuation of Shrek 1 with several secondary characters added.
There's Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Queen and King of Far Far Away kingdom, Puss and Others.. -_-; This made the plot richer for sure. The film starts with Shrek and Fiona's happy and romantic (...) honeymoon and Charming's tragedy - of finding that Fiona is a married woman now.
It was SO FUNNY to watch Shrek and Fiona's honeymoon lol - I literally went LOL and I will say that they were the best/funniest scene of the movie. After they arrive from their honeymoon, they are soon interrupted by Donkey -_-.. not surprising anymore (I was actually more surprised that Donkey didn't follow them to their honeymoon lol) Then they are interrupted by an unexpected invitation from the King and Queen of the Far Far Away Kingdom.. I love the name .. its VERY Creative, Very Unique & VERY Original.. (abit of sarcasm here lol) After fighting over the topic of going & not going to the kingdom to see the King and the Queen, Fiona's father and mother, Fiona wins and they leave on a journey to the kingdom WITH Donkey.

The kingdom looks ALOT LIKE the Hollywood/Beverly Hills in US. It is very interesting to see the citizens' reaction + Kind and Queen's when they see their princess turned into an ogre & her husband. The highlight of the moment is concluded with a white dove's tragic death (the bird was too shocked to see anywhere else other than the odd couple and hit its head to the wall of the castle + died).

Yeah.. what a shock .. right? .. If my daughter turned into an ogre and got married to one .. It would take me awhile to get my senses back .. -_- For a father who LOVES her daughter unconditionally would not have such difficulty as the King and would NOT have a childish fight over who's who and etc over dinner.
I guess it gets clear later on that the King's behaviour is partly because of he's fear of getting 'killed' by the Fairy Godmother - the all so sweet godmother of alllllllllllllllllllllll princesses in the world!
Yes - look at her wand and her smile (?) she looks SO NICE!
I think Dreamworks' evil twist to make the Fairy Godmother evil and to make Prince Charming her SON is very smart and funny. And they made it so that Prince Charming is the MAMABOY LOLLLz (Fairy Godmother would do anything for Charming, her SON! - what a great mommy character she is lol - it was very impressive you know.. lol)

After threatening the King, King seeks help from a very professional, infamous PUSS, the ogre killer. Puss gets to work as soon as he gets money from the King and 'tries' to kill the ogre, Shrek.
FEAR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAWR!
However, he soon realizes that Shrek is different from other ogres he 'killed' and tries to become his royal servant/friend/pet -_-..
Puss's CUTE EYES is now WORLD FAMOUS lol
I would love to keep him as my pet too! (Oh wait, I have a poodle, and she doesnt like cats, aww mann D;) After looking at that cutttteeee face, Shrek changes his mind and decides to keep him. Puss confesses to Shrek that he was ordered to kill him by the King. Furious and partly sad, Shrek goes on their little quest to make Fiona happy by breaking into FG's factory with Donkey and PUSSS..
WHAT DO THEY STEAL????? - one potion that will make Shrek + Fiona Happy FOREVER
IF HE GETS TO KISS HIS TRUE LOVE BEFORE MIDNIGHT THAT IS It seems like Dreamworks decided to stick with his rule FOREVER as well to make it more ... fairy tale like lolz. The potion worked its magic and handsom-er than EVER, Shrek and Donkey - now in human and in noble steed (typical white steed/horse that appear in fairy tales) goes back to the castle to see Fiona.
D'AWWW - Darling FG, I think she has a brain that is tripple the size of Shrek's -_-lol - SHE TRICKS SHREK, TRAPS HIM and send Charming to CHARM Fiona to believe Charming = Shrek equation.
D'AWWW HE GOT CAUGHT
& D'AWWW HE IS SADDD T_T (FG is feeling her VICTORY lol)
He later gets out and finds his way to get to Fiona with the help of his fairy tale friends from Shrek 1. Another great adventure - lol
In conclusion, Shrek 2 seems to be another well made movie that has more fairy tales mixed and intertwined together than the Shrek 1. However, it was abit boring to see Shrek fight and enter his psychological/emotional crisis - it took too long for him to overcome his depression -_-.. but other than that, if you like animation, fairy tales, comedy and romance, then this is a definitely a must-watch =D
P.S. you might notice that Puss looks really different in this sequal - it looks much meaner and sharper ... compared to the next series and the next next series.. and the next next next series lol
